sorts of content from students of all ages. you could choose to write about any form of media or media product that strikes your interest - this could be a video game, a film, a TV series, a magazine, a song, an album, a band, an advertising campaign, a radio show - anything!
The only rules are as follows:
Rules
Content must be original. This means that it must be written by YOU and nobody else.Content must not make personal reference to any other student or staff member.
Content must be spell-checked and proof-read.
Advice
Make it personal! Use your own interests and individuality to make your piece of writing completely unique. People want to read YOUR opinion on your subject matter not the same opinion they can read in a million other places on the internet.Be passionate! Pick a subject you are enthused about and let your enthusiasm come out through your writing. Even if you don't particularly like the media product you are writing about you can still be passionate about not liking it!
Think about your tone - do you want this to be a serious informative piece, a light-hearted entertaining article or maybe a straight-out comedy piece? Decide before you start writing and try to stick to your chosen tone.
How to submit a piece of writing
You can submit articles either in person at the Film and Media Department on upper site OR by first class email to Mr Matt Compton.
